Lance Armstrong is coming back

Seven-time Tour de France-champion Lance Armstrong confirmed reports that he plans to come back to professional cycling next year: "I will try to win an eighth Tour de France-title."

His manager, Mark Higgins, declared, that the Tour 2009 would be the goal for the US-American, who retired in 2005.

Armstrongs decision will bring up several questions. On the one hand, it’s not yet clear for which team the 36 years old will start and if he’ll take part in other races than the Tour de France.
On the other hand, the spectactular announcement renews questions about doping allegations Armstrong has been confronted with over the last years.

Nonetheless, many people within the cycling circuit welcomed the US-Americans proclamation in their first reactions. Most of them highlight that Armstrong gets the chance to proof the public that all doping accusations he had to face after his retirement were ungrounded.
